PLANET HOPPER

"Endless" Runner

SUMMARY

Planet Hopper was a part of the first of many game projects at The Game Assembly. The goal was to create a game inspired by the endless runner genre and we chose The Impossible Game as our reference.

For this project I worked closely with other team members to achieve our shared idea, making sure we followed a balanced difficulty curve and had frequent playtesting to see what could be improved upon.

The Earth is dying. You take on the role of Telly, a robot who has been sent to distant planets to collect crystal samples needed to save humanity. Equipped with a jetpack and teleport system, you must escape an impending meteorite and evade dangerous obstacles in order to complete your mission, reach the spaceship and return home.

DEVELOPED BY

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd.

Any internship offers can be made on May 5th, at the earliest.
